Avoid the Queues

In this changing world, international travel seems to have become increasingly frustrating.  We’ve had to adjust the way we travel to accommodate new procedures and ensure that we’re always up to date on the latest travel developments.

One of the greatest frustrations for a lot of people is getting through the big International Airports.  The queues seem longer than ever and people’s exasperations are more obvious than ever!  The biggest queues always seem to be clearing customs and getting through security.  We’ve heard many examples of people missing international connections due to these huge queues and delayed flights.

With Yellow Wings private charters we can offer you an alternative which will reduce the time that you are waiting and utilise the time that you have on safari effectively. We will ensure that you do not have to stand in long queues and we will significantly reduce the risk of missing international connections, by being on time and flying directly to the airport that you need to be at, avoiding any road transfers.  We can fly out of the smaller local airports and have dedicated staff on hand to make sure that your local and international connections are as seamless as possible.

This season we have found some routes that we think work really well. Our clients have been arriving at their destinations happy, relaxed and on time, and will continue to do so.

In order to give you some different ideas when planning an itinerary we’d like to offer some alternative routes which save time and make flying with Yellow Wings an enjoyable and stress free experience. Yellow Wings can fly into any airport or airstrip in East Africa and further afield so we have the flexibility to make your journey as seamless and comfortable as possible.

As an example, clients that are wanting to combine the Masai Mara and the Serengeti in an itinerary can fly from the Masai Mara via Kisumu in Kenya (35 mins flight), avoiding the inconvenience of having to return to Nairobi.  Our handling agents will meet the clients and assist them through customs, this process usually takes around 40 minutes.  The clients then return to the aircraft and fly directly into a small airport in Tanzania (45 mins flight), close to the Serengeti where they will clear the Tanzanian customs.   When they arrive in Tanzania our handling agents will meet the clients and see them through immigration which normally takes another 40 mins.  Once this process is complete, the clients are then free to return to the plane and fly to any destination within the Serengeti and the rest of Tanzania. This is shown on the map below.

Another option shown on the map below is connecting from the Masai Mara to Zanzibar via Mombasa which takes out the leg of flying back to Nairobi.

We can clear customs in many different locations in Kenya, giving you alternative exit points to JKIA.  If you are in the North we can clear customs in Isiolo or Lockichogio.  If you are at the coast we can clear customs straight out of Lamu, Malindi or Mombasa.  For the safaris that are based in the West of Kenya we can clear customs in Kisumu.  From Nairobi you can clear customs at Wilson Airport. You are then free to fly into the country of your choice whether it be Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia or beyond.

The map below shows just a few examples of the airstrips and airports that we can utilise to fly seamlessly from point to point. This is not exclusive as we couldn't possibly fit all the options onto one map which is why we would recommend that you call us for more information.
